Zesty Buendia

Zesty Buendia designs, builds, and deploys Project Buendia, an open-source mobile electronic medical record system designed for humanitarian contexts: medics working in stressful high-risk conditions, no Internet, minimal electrical power, and limited infrastructure.

Project Buendia was originally created in a collaboration between Médécins Sans Frontières (MSF) and Google Crisis Response for use in MSF Ebola Treatment Centres during the 2014 Ebola outbreak in West Africa. Today, it is being developed for use in the current Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
